Our consulting Data Protection Officer service helps organizations comply with the regulations such as GDPR (EU), DPDPA (India) where there is an obligation to appoint a competent Data Protection Officer (DPO) for independent privacy risk management if you carry out certain types of data processing activities.

Typical activities of the consulting DPO include,

  1. to register as DPO in required jurisdictions as requested by supervisory authority.

  2. to manage the DPO mailbox for the organization.

  3. to inform and advise the organization leadership and employees who carry out processing of their obligations pursuant to GDPR Regulation.

  4. to provide advice where requested as regards the data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance pursuant to Article 35;​
  5. to cooperate with the supervisory authority for incident reporting, queries, investigations;

  6. to act as the contact point for the supervisory authority on issues relating to processing, including the prior consultation referred to in Article 36, and to consult, where appropriate, with regard to any other matter.

  7. to monitor compliance with this Regulation and with the internal policies of the controller or processor in relation to the protection of personal data, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising and training of staff involved in processing operations, and the related audits;

  8. to monitor and do independent oversight on risks associated with processing operations, taking into account the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing.
